Blaine is a retired attorney who has had a lifetime love of reading. Blaine enjoys reading because it transports him to other locations. Being handicapped, reading allows him to experience things he can no longer experience himself. Blaine enjoys reviewing books on Goodreads, his blog " Blaine's Eclectic Bookshelf," and also has a weekly podcast "Snapshots," in which he makes a book recommendation from his bookshelf. His favorite genres are history, mystery, novels, and classics. His favorite authors are Steinbeck, Dickens, Michener, Follett, and the historian H. W. Brands. When Blaine is not reading, he enjoys watching British TV shows, being with his puppy, Babbitt, and helping his wife with her YouTube channel "No Fear Cooking".
